Trends come and go and so does my fashion cravings. On the one day I’m all about comfortable atheleisure and the next day I hunger for fancy ass prints. Today, I’m in the mood for long chequered dresses.

Now, these fashion cravings have a mind of its own. I might obsess over an item for the longest time ever or I might get tired of it the next day. That’s why I advise people to invest in great basics because everyone needs great basics BUT sometimes that’s boring and fashion is all about discovering your personal style and play with it without being afraid that you will be judged.

So I subdued the voice in my head and followed my adrenaline rush when I saw this yellow chequered number.

The dress was massively long but thank god I could just cut a good ol’ 10 cm off the dress without having to finish off the hemn nicely! Result? A semi-DIY’ed dress fit for my length!
