Since I’ve been interning at the Fashion Museum in Antwerp, I have been emerged in the world of Belgium designers or designers who have studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Antwerp. We all have heard about the famous ones such as Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester and Peter Pilotto but what about those who are relatively unknown to the fashion noobs? I’ve decided to devote an occasional Friday post to one of these designers and praise them using whatever positive adjectives.
Let me introduce you to Devon Halfnight Leflufy. Do not be fooled by his whimsical name. His collections are raw, edgy and streetstyle-ish. After graduating at the LaSalle College in Montréal, Devon decided to go to Antwerp and study at the Fashion Department of the Antwerp Academy. His graduation collection ‘True Believer’ was one of the crowd pleasers. With celebrities such as Rita Ora and Ciara already wearing his stuff, he is surely conquering the fashion world at a fast pace.
