It is that time of the year again where students of the Fashion Academy in Antwerp showcase their talents in a fashion show filled with excitement and stunning clothes. You might think: big deal? It is a big deal because some of the ex-students are now big players in the fashion world: Haider Ackermann, Peter Pilotto, Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Beirendonck etc. The show is a preview of what is to come in the fashion world and it is pretty cool to be able to say ‘Hey, I saw this or that designer’s collection when he/she was still a student!’

At the show I was actually helping out and assisting the press. Part of the deal of me helping was getting a rare glimpse of the action backstage. Kudos to all the models! It was hot, hectic and sweaty and I did not notice any of it when they came on the runway!

Remember these names people. These talented designers will make it one day!
