If you know fashion, you know Walter Van Beirendonck. Known for his wacky collections, Walter started his infamous fashion career at the Royal Arts Academy in Antwerp where he graduated from in 1980 and is now the head of the department. Along with Dirk Van Saene, Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Marina Yee and Dirk Bikkembergs, they were labeled by the press at the Antwerp Six.

“Walter, for me, is: The Bad Baby Boy. A true individualist. Fashion’s anti-drugs-acid. Forever Young” – Raf Simons
There is no one like Walter who can balance out beauty, horror and otherworldly like he does. At first his collections might make you cringe but as you squint your eyes, look very well at the collection, it gets you thinking. He combines everything in a perfect chaotic balance and it always had a hidden message. Walter’s collections should be the definition of high quality ‘ugly pretty’. But the best thing is that he uses amazing superb quality fabrics that feels sensational on the skin.
