Air Maxes & Sunnies

1

For years I’ve been dedicated to Converse. Wearing All Stars in the summer was my sneaker jam. However, there has been a sneaker shift. Ever since the Adidas/Nike sneaker obsession crossed over the ocean from New York to Europe, I’ve been avoiding it. Not because I hate sneakers but because I don’t want to conform to any commercial standard. Long story short: I caved in… Big time!

Currently I’m a proud owner of a few pair of sneakers including these Air Max Theas. These Air Max were actually one of my first sneaker love but since it was quite pricey, I’ve decided to forget about them and move on. However, they have been subconsciously been on the back of my mind. Thanks to Air Max Day (which was on 26th March) and JD Sports, I finally got to rekindle my love for these Nike sneakers.

For someone who has been wearing ankle boots for the longest time, wearing sneakers again gives my feet a sigh of relief.

Nothing but comfort for me this summer! Since the Belgian weather is still struggling between warm or cold, the transitioning weather is quite confusing for my personal style. I think I’ve found a happy medium which is a pretty knitted sweater (like this new one from H&M. Love at first sight y’all!) to substitute my spring jackets!

But my absolute pride and joy are these one of a kind sunglasses. Like literally one of a kind because only ten of these exist in the world! These were actually produced by Theo for Marie-Sophie Beinke, an Antwerp Fashion Academy graduate who now interns at Walter Van Beirendonck, for her graduation collection. I simply popped the ‘Can I buy them?’ question and now they are in my hands!

What are you key items for the transitioning weather?
