When Bershka and Zara are one of the more popular stores in Antwerp, it is hard not to cringe when someone you see on the street is wearing the same thing. It is also not too hard to resist that ACNE look-a-like leather jacket from Zara because you’ve seen at least ten girls wearing the goddamn thing even though that has been on your wishlist for quite some time. BUT when you discover a store that is in the same company group as Bershka and Zara but not as popular in Antwerp, you do happy dance and march right in that store: I’m talking about Bimba Y Lola.
Bimba Y Lola top – Mango blouse – Bershka trousers – Urban Outfitters boots
Bimba Y Lola is in the same company group as Zara, Inditex. I passed this store numerous times but it never crossed my mind to go inside. First of all, the name is really not that appealing. Don’t shoot me but I don’t think Spanish is a beautiful language so Bimba Y Lola just sounds like blabla & blabla to me. HOWEVER, the store managed to win me over while I was window shopping. Things got better when I browsed their website.
MY GOD, that euphoria feeling when you have discovered a new brand skyrocketed. And here I am, parading my new purchase. This low cut jacquard top, made for layering.
And talking about Inditex, did Bershka find new buyers or something? The store is on top of its game and it is killing it! I made the mistake of browsing through their website and ending up going to the store and buying jeans. Not your average jeans because this one has a rough cut on the bottom and it the perfect length for my short legs which means bye bye rolling up my jeans!
