Whenever you travel to a touristic city without a local, chances are that you are drowning yourself in overpriced shizzle. That’s where I ended up when I travelled to Barcelona two years ago. Okay, I saw everything I wanted but I didn’t understand why people love Barcelona so much. This time around, blogger buddy Anouk and I travelled to Barcelona for a weekend. I was a bit iffy about going back to Barcelona again but since Anouk has lived there for a year, I was assured I was in good hands.

If there is one thing that Barcelona has convinced me, it is always to book a hotel with a rooftop terras. Arriving in Barcelona, we stayed at Hotel Colon which is right across the Cathedral. Location 10 out of 10! BUT extra points for their rooftop terrace because the view was amazing! And this was just the start of my trip. I took the opportunity to shoot some outfits on the rooftop because… well because the location was absolutely perfect.
If you read my ‘Four reasons why you should not get your glasses at Grand Optical’ blogpost, you already know that I got introduced in the glasses world not too long ago. While I am absolutely not in dire needs of wearing glasses, it sure came in hand when I had an allergic reaction and I had to cover my swollen eye. I present you my new polette glasses!
One of my main problems when finding glasses is finding the right shape. My square face can only handle round glasses and with Chanel and Fendi conquering the trends for glasses area, finding round prescription glasses is actually a difficult task. Second, how damn expensive are prescription glasses? I was dumbfound when I found out that prescription glasses come at a price of mininum 200€
Luckily, Polette Eyewear kills two birds with one stone. Not only do they offer an immense variety of glasses, they are also surprisingly affordable. I went ahead and browsed through the website like a maniac. I eventually found these golden Dean frames which perfectly framed my face!
